About RCP

One initiative, many disciplines.

Rutgers Chemical Physics brings together research groups across the three Rutgers campuses who work in the broad field of chemical physics.

Scope

RCP is designed as a broad, interdisciplinary umbrella. It includes researchers whose work sits in or adjacent to chemical physics across a range of departments and programs.

  • Chemistry and Chemical Biology
  • Physics
  • Chemical and Biochemical Engineering
  • Materials Science and Engineering
  • Earth and Environmental Sciences
  • Other related areas across science and engineering

Campuses represented

Rutgers–New Brunswick

Rutgers–Newark

Rutgers–Camden

RCP helps researchers and trainees across these campuses learn about one another’s work and identify new opportunities for collaboration.

Research exchange

RCP creates space for faculty, students, and postdocs to share ongoing research and discover common scientific interests.

Community building

The initiative supports ideas such as newsletters, student and postdoc engagement, shared events, and cross-campus visibility.

Future growth

Future programming is intended to expand participation through student talks, posters, and additional opportunities for networking and training.
